Guy Goldstein

Software Developer & Instructor

Guy Goldstein is the developer of software apps, WriterDuet and the HartChart.

WriterDuet is real-time collaboration screenwriting software that allows for professional formatting, seamless collaboration, online cloud storage and backup, infinite revision tracking, and import/export to and from other software formats like Final Draft, Celtx, etc.

Seasoned screenwriting professionals and amateurs alike have sung its praises. Ed Solomon, writer of Men in Black and many other hit films, called WriterDuet the “most intuitive, most user-friendly scriptwriting software” he’s ever used.

The HartChart is a story mapping tool developed in partnership with J.V. Hart, writer of HOOK, CONTACT, AUGUST RUSH, DRACULA, and more. The app helps chart the emotions of your characters and their journeys. It helps writers visualize the rise and fall of characters as they make choices and proceed through the story. The app recently released at the Austin Film Festival in October, 2015.

In addition to his time spent coding, Guy is also an amateur screenwriter, actor, and improviser. He spends as much time as possible around filmmakers and believes that the world would be a nicer place if instead of fighting about issues, we made better movies about them.

We are honored to have Guy in person to explain and live demo these powerful writing tools.
