A former award-winning journalist, Ramesh has been a two-time semi-finalist at the Austin Film Festival’s screenwriting competition and a quarter-finalist in the Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting, as well as a finalist in other contests.
Since leaving journalism, he has worked in media relations for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts.
For the last 5 years, Ramesh has read for Pittsburgh’s Steeltown Entertainment’s FILM FACTORY short-screenplay competition. He has been a panelist at the Austin Film Festival and a reader for their prestigious script competition for the last 3 years, as well.
Ramesh has read over 1,000 scripts, mostly features, but several shorts and TV specs and pilots, too, and has written approximately 10 feature-length screenplays.
